What keeps you away from playing Salem?

I wasn't going to post in this cause none of the mentioned really apply to me but I wake up and already am pissed in the first 5 minutes in game so I left. I

For me it's the pace of the game. Most actions are slow enough to be annoying, but not slow enough to comfortably chat or tab to browser while I wait.

The reason I took a break is that I reach a point in the game where I have done most things within my reach. I simply dont have time to play more "seriously" or "hard core". What is left for me is then menial tasks like farming and mining. That gets boring in the long run.

PS: I have harvested my crops and got some peas and sallad to show for.

I call it choredom. Turkeys eat too much, what's the point of farming when it takes cupboards of food to gain a point, why bother working to get more silver when you can't find anything worth spending it on anymore, etc.

This game, and haven too, are about striving to survive in the wilderness and building yourself up from nothing. For a lot of people though that's it. There's no further step.

I'm at risk of writing out a thesis so I'll leave it at that.
