i have read all i can find on the subject and am 100% sure its not me that's doing something wrong. You clearly are not doing those things if your madness level is going up. Doing all of this will lower your insanity and should never get any madness. That or maybe you are doing something else to bring it back up.
I spent yesterday roasting 30+ meat items and studying several inspirationals, and did none of the insane things, except dissecting one frog, and
still got a madness level. At first, I thought it was a glitch, but today, my character decided to put on nettle undies, and the masks are different.
