looking for newb-friendly town/partner

I'm a complete newb at this game, and i don't think i could survive for much longer or progress much farther without some help. i'd be thankful if someone was kind enough to support me, i've played hard games before. I am extremely new to this game, so i'm sorry if i screw up something...
so can someone help me out...?
