New Player Looking for a Village to call home

Good day! A few days ago I discovered this little gem of a game, and I've taken some time to hone my skills alone in the wilderness, even building my first home!

But now, I'd like to move into more civilized society. I enjoy contributing my time and resources to large community projects, As I find myself hardly using most of what I gather. There is still much that I need to learn, however I do feel comfortable with the basics and am currently working into learning more about farming and mining. I hope one of you fine mayors see me great contribution to the overall atmosphere and productivity of your village, and if not, then perhaps you could assist in whipping me into shape!

However for the time being, I hope that I may get to know you all better in due time! :D

Edit: No longer searching, Thread is now derailled into smacktalk from mad baddie.

Do you have a thick skin?

So many like you come; but you have yet to experience perma-death... losing all you have learned and built... most quit after (I did too the first time).

Even though alts are discouraged... I suggest you invest the time and effort to develop a few...send in a newbie alt to try out a community before you send your MAIN...else you could be lining up at the headsman's axe unknowingly!

But isnt that the fun of it all?

to build up a great tower before it all comes crashing down on your head, why not start now and get acclimated with the feeling of defeat? After all I see this game as a bit of an experiment, Why not take such risks and feel the consequences and rewards full heartedly? Reguardless I do appreciate your concern, I came here knowing what type of experience I would have without alternate characters, and I'm choosing to stay that way for the sake of my own enjoyment.

If you plan on committing any crimes you better have an alt you dont mind getting sent to the stocks. Even if you use just your main and defend off someones attack(assuming you don't die yourself) you will be summoned to the stocks and you'll be doing nothing much with that only character until your character is released.

This guy is not to be trusted... I invited him to my place, gave him clothes, food, tools, weapons...
And the next day i find my base all destroyed... He then lied to me how i was making him a slave and was milking him for more work when all i did was tell him to make a couple of coal clamps and catch a couple of frogs which was "hard work".
He then made me even angrier when he said that he gave me 6k+ in items thinking how splitting profit from a wss and catching some frogs made me 6k. And dont go laughing at me how i was raided by a 3 day old character when you were retarded enough to leave scents just outside providence. You clearly did not understand what was going on when i would have used the silver you have gotten me (1.2k) to raise your biles. And you must be mentaly restarted to think that 50s a month for claim upkeep was alot when you join someone dont expect that all work will be done for you and you will relax your ass all day and be fed all the time. Salem is a rough game and you just made it even harder for yourself. I accept being outplayed by a 3 day old char but i did not expect that even the biggest ******* in the world would do such a thing like you did. I swear to take revenge one day.

Oh and he paved a huge KKK sign wih a cross just outside my claim to "conceal" his crimes. lol

lol, don't be such a ***** and things like that wouldn't happen.

Edit: To clarify; The KKK sign was made by another guy who I ported in, if you'd like to speak with him look amongst your close friends, he may or may not have quite a bit of your stuff.

Since your place is destroyed now you could make me a map so that i can trace the scents and see what i can do.

Any scent you would find is along the coast near the prov area where i trespassed on accident, I did everything in his claim legally and with no crime involved, I did not once destroy something that technically wasn't in my right to destroy, The guy Is SOL. and he needs to work on how he treats other people, especially newbies. There's a difference between building a guy up to take care of himself, and then there's indebting someone so that they have to work for you, having them go out and make profits for you, I'm not an investment, I can not be added onto for the benefit of yourself or others. Next time someone wants to play with me, or group with me, think of it this way, Leave me to work for my items, tell me if I want items, tell me i'll work for them, don't give them out first willy nilly like this idiot did, and then play the debt card thinking in a game like SALEM that i'm going to pay for it or work for you. that's just downright stupid if you ask me, for as long as he's played, he should have known better. All In all, I figure with more time on the forums and more time getting to know people, I'm sure i'll find a place where I can ease in and come to good terms with others, but for now i'll just keep learning.
