You have to remember that Popham has the population that's most paranoid about PvP, Witchcraft and that all the top killers are playing on there.

Providence is much safer to meet people..

Providence is much friendlier and has more events. Watch for events on Sunday afternoon on Providence. That's a good way to meet people.

Also there's a whole forum area for joining towns and meeting people in the Recruitment threads for towns.

Many traders and other people like Hefferman will kin you on Providence.

You can kin my trader 'Belethor the Merchant' with his Homestead secret on Providence: 11% Water Source

Oh thanks and I already have a town. I log in mostly to raise skills and my kin list with 20 people seems to play in different times.

The thing is: the friend who convinced me to play salem played in Popham himself, and when I discovered that Popham was a temporary server I already had 50 humors - 800 scalp score - and reasonable infra-structure. Now I'm stuck in Popham. (Please read this devs: A simple in-game text line saying that Popham is temporary would be GREAT. For what I read in-game I thought it had easier ways to do crimes, which I thought it would be fun)

Isn't there a tooltip that pops up at the server select screen?

Oh if such thing is really there I think I can't blame you anymore and I'll donate some dollars to devs.

Anyway, there are few lines describing each server in server selection screen and Popham description seems enthusiastically "more difficult". I always played games in the Hard difficulty, but this is the first game/server that I play that even if you are the best player you will loose all your items - so the main description is not that helpful =p
