My background: I started Salem a couple years ago on Plymouth. I never really joined any group, just hermited and traded with a few people in town. Read the forums a little but didn't post. i really loved the base building aspect and I built a few newbie bases and moved on, built two different bigger bases, moved on from those, finally found the perfect spot and started building the "perfect" base. I had pretty good defenses, I thought, I was wokring on the treewall when the tribe came and wrecked my ****. Even chopped down some of the trees.
I thought about rebuilding, but it was after the purity change and I didn't like the new humus thing so I quit for awhile. Found out about the new stuff and expeditions a few months ago so I'ld like to give it a try. I don't know all the new mechanics, but I read all the patch notes and played a little bit so Im not all behind.My Qualifications:
Time: I have time to play a couple hours a day and a bit more on the weekends. I cant no-life, but I promise not to be casual either.
PvP: Sorry, no.
I got in one fight on Plymouth and paniced so hard i almost passed out. I will help defend if our town gets attacked, but I only want to build and craft.Exploration: I will quarter the map for hours looking for these statues or a good alternate spot for a town if your group isn't planning ot settle on a statue. I don't mind delaying my character growth to find a good town site so long as I get a say in the town design, it's my favorite part.
Farming: I loved the older purity grind, I will totally grind purity on farm products all day, potted plants too. I"m not good at cooking though. I don't need really high biles, but I hope to trade my work as a farmer for cooked foods.
Mining: Thsi new mining system looks like fun. I won't mind mining and sifting some times.
Foraging: I will forage with an alt when I'm not farming.
Animal Husbandry: I'm sure everyone will want to do this and so do I! All I realy want though is to have some animals to take home to Providence so I'll work on other things as long as I get taught all the mechanics by whoever in the town is raising the animals.
Other stuff: I will concentrate on getting the high proficiencies for the farming and potting, but I'll help with stuff like building walls that doesn't need high profs.
