Timber Wolf is a growing village within the wilderness of Salem. Our goal, is for its boundaries to eventually be inhabited by newbies and intermediate players, those who wish to learn the game. We have a number of forts constructed already, including the largest fort holding the bell and a number of brick walls. All in all we’re a semi-casual group of Salemites who are inclined to enjoy the more peaceful aspects of the game. Unlike many villages like this, however, we are more than capable, and willing, to take up the sword if need-be.
Joining Timber Wolf
If you are invited to Timber Wolf, you will either be given directions to our village or a map, whatever suits you. Your role in Timber Wolf will be to have fun and explore the game. You will not be given access to our forts unless their specific owner wants to take you on as an apprentice, however you will be encouraged and helped in setting up your own homes and forts under the protection of the village claim. The Leadership is not here to babysit you, simply provide you a somewhat-secure area to learn and play the game with friendly people to chat and work with. We will, however, start you off with a backpack, a small bit of food, and some hay for a leanto if you require it.
The Rules
1. You may claim land for yourself wherever in the area shown above you please. Try not to claim land outside it unless it is very close by, we have plenty enough land as it is. You can claim up to 150 squared tiles. Additional requests for land can be handled on a case by case basis.
2. You may ask some of the more experienced players, including leaders, for supplies you are unable to produce yourself, however it is important not to rely on us. Gathering and providing for yourself is a big part of the game and will teach you valuable lessons for the future. Trading however is encouraged, there are many goods out there that are easily gathered and needed (particularly by the cooks) yet might be too bothersome for established players to gather. On the other hand, annoying people for free things will not be tolerated.
3. There is no tax or anything owed to the village leaders for living on the property, however you will be called to defend the village as backup militia (second line of defense after our military) if it’s under attack, no matter how many biles you have. This is your home, after all.
4. We implore you NOT to commit crimes. You may, but don’t expect us to defend you for it. If someone comes asking for you, we will give you up in a heartbeat. We are not out to make trouble unless it comes to us first.
5. There are a number of mines in the area you can claim. However, you may only have one at a time as your own. We do have publically available mines if you want to use them, however.
The most important thing to take away from all of this is simple, however: we are here to play the game, not win it. 'Winning' at a game like Salem is a dismal illusion.
If you wish to join up, PM me. You'll be given a decent-sized background check and asked a few more questions before you're allowed in, of course. Cherio!
Update:
Heyo! Just an update:
For a while, we haven't been taking any new members to TW, including into the expedition. However, me thinks with all the newbies joining it's time to start cranking again. We're currently mostly active on the expedition server, and though we may be limiting access to our more valuable resources during it (infiltrators are common in Salem) until we trust you, we'd still be glad to have more people around and to grant them a basic sense of protection. PM me with the answer to these three questions and we'll go from there

1. What is your overall goal in playing Salem?
2. Would you consider yourself an offensive or defensive player?
3. Have you read all of Timberwolf's rules and understand our town?
But yeah, we're going to recruit a few more people to the expedition. To be honest, it's because I want to have some more numbers in case we're attacked, but also because Providence sucks compared to the expedition and we'd like to give the influx of newbies a realistic, but friendly sense of what Salem's actually like
