New to the game, seeking newbie settlement

I'm a 23 year old guy from New Hampshire (EST timezone) looking to join a group.
I'm not sure what job I'd want, I'll fill in based on the needs.
I played Haven and Hearth for a couple of years so understand the premise of this game.
I've been playing Salem for 2 days now and want to see how far it can go.
