There is an official code for *every* item as these images come straight from the resource server.

Looking in the big salem-res jar file, I get only a small amount of graphics. The jar is 158 megs, and res/gfx/invobjs only has 340 images in it (while my cache folder already has 554 in it) so it's certainly not the complete listing.

Just browsing though the list I dont see a lot of stuff I am looking for.

Because most stuff is downloaded on demand. If you are using custom client then you should be able to find the rest of the files in C:\users\<username>\.salem\cache\ dir

Yeah I understand that, but that wont help to find the icons for items I never have seen in game before.

Perhaps someone can help me discover the icon names for:
giant willow aphid
steer skull
singing old log
clawed talon

Just use the wiki to get icons that you have not yet discovered






Go to a wiki page: http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Clawed_Talon

Right click the icon next to the name and hit "Open image in new tab"

You should than get this http://salemwiki.info/images/0/09/Clawed_Talon_icon.png

Insert that like this: [.img]http://salemwiki.info/images/0/09/Clawed_Talon_icon.png[/img] (without the period in [img])

This is ultimatly 100 times easier and faster than looking in a folder to find the image file and helps if you have never seen the item before.
