Building an outfit for a plotmate who does 95% of the hunting/foraging...what are some reasonable artifacts we can slot?
From what I understand; bear paws, bear claws, march hare tails, etc, are higher end...anyone selling these?

bear paws run for 20.000s each and are usually slotted for Feasting

id go with Etterfang + Nail + WSS for a basic set and a Sword

and if he can afford it later Nails and Bear Claws, but thats like 50k++ for a good set.

A rummaging set for sure for foraging. As for hunting, depends on his playstyle. He might want an impact set or a piercing one, but the very cheap basic hunting set is etterfangs, WSS, nails and some other cheap defense or attack artifacts. If you want to go expensive then yes, some of the stuff you listed is good. I recommend checking the wiki's artifact list and sorting by the stat you want.
