Never have been too worried about the Tribe-hate spewed on the forums. The type of people who are swayed by Jalpha's bleating, or are attracted to Potjeh's misogny, are not the type of people I'd prefer to associate with anyhow. Reasonable beings quickly recognize most of this propaganda is self-contradicting.
Petty and jealous men will always seek to denigrate and explain away the success of their betters. They over-indulge in self-delusion and rationalization in the same manner an alcoholic turns to spirits. "A competent and self-confident person is incapable of jealousy in anything. Jealousy is invaribly a symptom of neurotic insecurity."
It's that competence and self-confidence that Potjeh tries to portray as smugness. These qualities also help separate the game politics and actions from life. Many of our detractors make such vicious attacks because they have nothing positive to build on, and in their rage descend into self-parody. They have nothing else, and these personal failings prevent them from enjoying even what should be a recreational activity. In the end, the nonsense has no effect - we'll keep enjoying ourselves, and you all can keep wallowing in your self-created mires.
