They are allowed to, but generally don't, because they prefer to remain oblivious to the politics and mechanics of the game.

I try to stay oblivious to the politics of most games. Don't take offense. it's not because I don't care about you guys. I only have so much energy to put into such a subject, and real life can be very draining.

No, I didn't. I was serious about staxjax. He might be a *****, and was a rarity because he actually played the game, and heavily participated in politics, but he was the most fair moderator Salem has had. He was able to set his personal **** aside when it came to doing the job they'd entrusted him with, and a lot of people can't do that.
