Without stump spawns though it's a little more tricky to get the silver, but I'm sure people will be buying hay soon, and they are already buying other things.

Step #1: Buy Pioneers Pack.

Step #2: Right click Scroll.

What mechanics do you think should be in place, to protect items not on a claim?

It's no so much about not protecting items not on a claim, but more about teaching players why you should have a claim.
Perhaps an area to teach new players about the mechanics in safety before they enter the main world, an in-depth tutorial so to speak.
I wont even go into less PvP focused ideas (even tho this game is 80% crafting 20% everything else), all the rabid dogs in this forum will just start yelping.

If you throw someone into the sea to teach them to swim, don't be surprised if they drown.

Well there has always been a place just like that. A place to learn the game in peace that even has classes on all things Salem.

Sorry but you're all wrong.

We were aware of the claim necessity. We were working on that but gathering 150 silver is NOT easy if you are new to the game mechanics. And we are not going to spend $ before knowing if the game is good enough.

We played H&H during several weeks, we know how claims are important.
We were aware about permadeath. We always play in permadeath when it's possible.

Don't think we are fools. Just we don't have 20h a day to spend playing a video game. So yes, we are casuals. But we know what pvp means so please, just stop those already known facts. And some players just like to discover a game without rushing it with heavy wiki support or bots.

The real fact is that 1 player is just making players run away. This is the fact.
