What are the current theory's as to where JC is or what he is doing?

Offical word is that he is busy with work and family. JC and marp are still communicating and last I was told they are still doing what they can in the mean time as far as dev goes. Last I spoke with him he was working out of town often. If no one has had to travel for work it can be extremely difficult with a wife and kids.

If "forever" means to you: until JC gets around to working on the planned witch update.
Then you may be right.

But if I am right, and JC does get around to implementing the witch update, then I personally know of three, maybe four of the few remaining foul creatures that will be exiting existence via righteous prosecution in Salem's fun justice. .....(Repent you pagan heathens, before this time comes !)
...Probably prosecuted in just a few short days after JC does give us that anticipated update.
