Thanks again to all for the support during the town raid. 3 of the 4 perpetrators were permanently killed and it seems he kept the fourth perma logged in so I could not stock him.

I was going to try a trial by combat, but it seems the scents have expired now for the last character. All in all I had a blast and managed to repair the walls to the primary claim, move out all valuables and evacuate the area with no real losses.

I will move to a new location and start again being that much more knowledgeable now from the experience.

Nice man. Build out in the darkness for sure if your starting over.

There's no need to build in the darkness. Just don't build too close to the border of the darkness as that is a popular area.

I would go super deep dark and then build a church there.

Not even this keeps you safe to be honest.
You could still be found and caught outside your base which may result in your death.
No where is safe in salem however I found South West to be the most underpopulated area of the map though if that counts for anything

if i were you, next time i would log in every 2 days if you are going to be gone for an extended period of time specially if you are on a town claim and its solo. taking down a town is not easy if you constantly destroy all they are progressing, good luck on your new base!
