Exactly but his comment did give you the idea that there could be something more out there then we know.

Remember to have plenty of BLUE BILE, in case you have a long swim ahead of you.

Oh, and perhaps some RED BILE as well, in case you run into scoundrels.

I went to sleep last night.
There is not a special way of finding whales or some special location.
I usually go towards them (on everbloom the migrate north so i would go south, on coldsnap they migrate south so i would go towards north) and just zig zag a certain distance from the coast mostly going forward and covering alot of ocean.
Mind that they apear on the map way before you actually hear them so clicking on the minimap and doing something else on other account will make you miss most of them.
And yes, youll see that they are fairly common.
