Haven't we established that rats are darkness creatures? If you're a newbie, stay out of the damn darkness. Problem solved.

I also disagree on the leeches as plenty of players can just sell one to you. I like this new trend of unique biome items, it stimulates the economy a bit.

You likely are still in the darkness just not far enough to get drain, move closer to Prov if it bothers you.

Did I said Rats bother me ? I just said that rats are not darkness creatures. Darkness creatures means creatures that live in darkness and for my understanding, I don't live in darkness. Wiki said, "Humor drain begins immediately on entering darkness".

Yeah, if the wiki says that, I need to update it. With the changes to darkness drain awhile back, drain doesn't start until you get a ways in to darkness. Also, John said that rats are darkness creatures. Your ideas about rats and your arguments strongly suggest you are bothered by them, so stop being obtuse. Either get used to rats or move your base because the devs have said very clearly that darkness is meant to be a difficult and dangerous place that people just don't live in so I very much doubt they're going to make it easier to live in with rat traps or anything like that.

the "economy" is for a privileged few who have stalls, or lucky thread creators who manage to break the huge wall of distrust created by lack of safe trade... some "economy" you have there
