Baby's First Rangering Experience

Postby pistolshrimp » Tue Dec 09, 2014 9:04 am

It was awful. I tracked the theif down, then when I found him I saw his duck-face mask and kind of started feeling bad for the guy. I told him I would kill him the next time he logged out if we didn't make a deal. Then my computer crashed. *****. Well this is it I said. Log back in, not dead. Thank Franklin. Said he's been playing a month and all he's got is 268 silver. Sadest thing in the world, just about broke my heart. I took 100 of it. He had a shop hat on but I couldn't bear to take that from him. Told him to read the forums and wiki for advice and wished him luck.

What was your first rangering experience like? Was it as bad as mine?

Back on Plymouth someone left a trespassing scent at my claim. I assumed i could summon them since this was my first time tracking. I assumed wrong.
That was an hour of my life I will never get back.

Some Ukranians murdered one of the people I was playing with when I first started. None of us even had larceny. During the battle one of them got knocked out on the pclaim, and the one that murdered got away. That night we tracked their scents and fed a character to waste and a character to murder (Willy) we got the guy on the Pclaim and summon killed the other guy. That one incident is what made me realize how fun this game can be

Your story telling skills make me envious. Post-modern simplicity at its best. This is the exact same repsonse Charles Bukowski would have made if he played Salem and answered this post.

PS. Care to elaborate?

My first Rangering experience was tracking Darnok's theft of a boat of a neighbor of mine. and then selling his location by porting a noob alt of VVindy's for 100s and another guy for 50s. :D

I still remember how they left all of those doors open for anybody to just walk right in.

Months later they'd left the game so I claimed over their TBell vault with maybe 50 braziers and used it as a storage bolt hole in case of an emergency.

As the river rolled over the cliffs, my own laughing joy was drowned out by the roaring deluge of the water. The great cataract of Darwoth's Tears fell over and over endlessly.
