I've found the killer's name. It's Mikus. I hope this helps.

I thought I'd give Salem another crack, but just exploring on my first night I encounter this ass and it's either bad luck or the state of the game.

1) Use Latikai's client.
2) Always watch your minimap for unknown players that may kill you
3) Never afk. If you got to go to the bathroom, just log out. Otherwise you can die and the only one to blame is yourself.
4) Don't settle near Boston. "Near Boston" being everywhere that you didn't at least walk for 2 hours to go to.
5) If unluckily you still meet someone aggressive in the wild, just log out already before he starts hiting you. Don't close your client violently, the process may remain active and thus your char still logged on.

I'm pretty sure you did at least one of the above wrong.

That said, Mikus is part of the Tribe which is the faction that fears revenge the less. Indeed, there are very few players that would seek for a kill on the Tribe, even if there are plenty of scents everywhere to do so.

sorry to hear that - unfortunately this game is full of kids like Mikus who feel like killing newer players in starting clothes is actually a feat of some kind that they deserve recognition for.

to put this into perspective Mikus is a pathetic level 80 Rogue who is one shotting level 20's in Stonetalon Mountains. What a feat right?

Notice he plays no actual REAL SKILL BASED competitive games.

I appreciate the words of encouragement. I should still think that there are some who would gather up in a posse for justice, as there was often in some of the older server days.

He spends time out in the open often, which is where I encountered him. It's not terribly difficult to track him.
