You, yourself said that he and Chief logged onto someone's account without permission after guessing their password from the password of another account. They've basically stolen the account and all store bought items on it.

If it's not hacking then I only have three questions:

Did they have permission to use this account like this from the owner of the account?

Were they given the password to THIS account or did they figure it out from the password on his other account that he let Vigi use?

Did they change the password to the account so that the original owner can't use it anymore without the original owner's permission?

All of these are account hacking.

According to Vigi's post they didn't give the password away on the mayor's account. He guessed the mayor's password from the other account's password and they weren't the same according to him. He and the chief hacked the second password from what they knew of the first password and then stole the account and all store bought items on it. He and the Chief have clearly stolen the account and are admitting to it here. The Chief says he logged on to the account himself and kicked them off the TB. How does this not lead to a permanent-ban for both of them along with their accounts being wiped for account hacking?

technically, according to the EULA, the person who shared the account in the first place (ie gave out a password) is the one that should be banned. sadly he's already dead so im not sure how much good a ban would do. guessing a password is no more wrong than finding a $20 bill laying on the ground and keeping it. the fault lies with the person who made a ****** password and/or dropped the money on the ground.

sure, the right thing to do would be to return the money... but you wont go to jail for keeping it, either.

so yes, while chief and vigi are major ***** for doing it they're not exactly in the wrong. and, well, last time i checked this game was all about being a *****, so...

nothing to see here. move along.

Who cares if they hacked. Even if this was true Vigi and Chief Poo are so deep in Jorbs ass nobody is going to do **** about it. We can all rage and cry here all day or just stop giving a *****. In this game you either enter tribes self adoring butt sniffer circle or perish. I rather perish.

Are you kidding me? Guessing the password on an account with RL money spent on store bought items is like finding money on the ground? This breaks so many of the games rules that I can't even imagine that it doesn't lead to action from the admins. You are now the 4th person from the tribe to describe how Vigi and the Chief hacked the password from the account that they did not have permission to use.

I care because it means that account hacking is now Permissible and condoned by the dev's as part of the game.

Agamemnon wrote:You wanna nuke me for making a public liming account for the village? Fine, that's fair. I will accept that.

But nuke the tribe for brute forcing passwords that were NOT given to them and taking over a town.
Should be pretty simple once you check ip's that vigilance sat with my account on the character screen the whole time preventing it from logging in, while chief (on one of vigilance or greed's accounts) helped him wall off and steal our town from the inside.

Rules were broken, punish both.

guessing =/= brute forcing

just pointing out that you should at least know what you're talking about when making an opposing argument. carry on.

I have no idea what shenanigans happened here, but your analogy to the alleged behavior is bad.
