How does killing anothe player work and Premadeath

Basically, make a claim, a wall, and some torches and make sure your base looks as ****** as possible and not worth to raid to most raiders.
You are pretty safe then, and by wall I mean't stone or above, splitrail and makeshift are easily broken.

Anyway to secure your items? Say those you have in your home after your death...so your next character can use the same house and land?

You need to have a claim-stone up to secure and defend yourself. No item, store bought or otherwise is safe in this game from theft. You need to have a defensive position before you even think about buying expensive store bought items. Even then you may lose them.

1. Remember all are replaceable. Might be costly but they are replaceable.
2. Your char is your most valuable assest..protect it.
3. To play Salem you are pretty much required a certain character trait. "Whatever, I don't give a rats behind. Lalalala, Lalalala."

If you weren't able to loose everything at any given moment, that game wount be that exciting It's quite a real pain to loose all this virtual work, but if you can't - what's the point of doing it in the first place? There would be no competition

the best thing would be to join a village, then at least you get a 24hour warning before your base is attacked and you can defend it or even eventually move valuable things to a different base for safe keeping. but yes, brick walls and braziers are very good. you can also keep your silver in the bank in Boston. nobody can take that.
