Another planned downtime at 2012-09-12 21:00 UTC

Postby loftar » Wed Sep 12, 2012 1:54 am

As part of the ongoing project to enable support for multiple servers, I need to take the server down for a while to transfer accounts and characters to a new underlying structure, and will be doing so at the time indicated in the thread subject.

I don't expect it to take more than an hour, and I don't need to bring down the server entirely for the operation, but the game server and logins will be down. You should be able to continue using the forum in the meantime as long as you don't log out. :)

Uh... would that be multi-server support? :P

To be fair, that'd be a pretty huge update. =D

Not sure if everyone is aware of it, but we were promised a game content update in the meantime before multiserver stuff gets implemented. ;)

I'll take the multi-server update over content right now. It'll help with lag.

So there, the transfer should be done and functional now. It took some time because I discovered what I thought was a bug in the new account server, but turned out to be merely some confusing error reporting from Berkeley DB.

Tell me if you have reason to suspect your account wasn't properly transferred.
