This needs to be investigated. Possible bug abuse/staxhaxing.

Does the introduction of carts mean livestock and horse will be in game someday?

Also what about small bridges for river crossings?

A road system would help encourage townships to connect to Boston, this would also provide opportunity for highwaymen, and caravan guards etc.
these things would add depth and enjoyment to Salem. I still envision townships should have vendors in them also for players to sell instead of stalls in town.

p.s. Leveling ground without a mod is basically impossible, in my opinion. If there was a height map grid type option in the vanilla client that would be VERY helpful.
thanks

That won't happen :) People are waiting bridges for loong and loooooong time (since the HnH appearence). And horses will be always wanted as the terraforming tool that was promised on July (or earlier, don't remember the date).

The cart is such a pimp ride, it's got spinners and everything.

Horses are in the game but not available to players yet. Livestock are planned but you'll probably have to buy them from the old world. They'll be available someday. =)
Bridges, unfortunately, are not possible with the core engine that the game runs on. For this exact same reason they will never be in Haven either.

Roads would be awesome and you're correct about leveling ground without a non-standard client.

Leveling ground is possible with default client - when click for digging while having ctrl pressed then your char will flatten the selected tile. You can use this to flatten entire area.
