Still not liking this one bit. Once again, if devs did something to cancel out the outrageous benefits old players had before and after the purity update, I would be fine with these new mechanics. I'm sure most people would be.
I don't care how hard people who got to exploit these flaws claim grinding purity used to be, and I don't care how few 400 humor exist in Plymouth, Jamestown, or Roanoke, I don't care if they wont use those characters to raid because they fear losing them, I don't care if most of them are peaceful farmers living in darkness.
The principal is, that these players got to grind purity and raise their humours at one difficulty level, and the new players have to go through that same process, except at a ridiculously harder level.
The point I want to emphasis the most is that they're STILL benefiting from the old flawed mechanics, even after it has been "fixed".
High purity humus, worms, trees, food, all produced from before the patch still exist in the game, and are owned in large quantities by several old players.
I think it is clear that something has to be done to remove the items produced when the game mechanics were "flawed". The old mechanic items and new mechanic items do not mix.
From my point of view, one of these scenarios will play out:
1: remove the high purity items that have existed before the update and lower all of the humours that are ridiculously high, game is balanced and works with new mechanics
2: reset the servers, balanced game
3: revert to old mechanics and balance game by nerfing humours
4: continue not listening to users and drive them all away
Judging by the server status, it seems like these recent updates have driven a lot of people away. I'm pretty close to leaving also. All that will be left are old players with god like powers who will drive away all new players by griefing them, old players will run out of noobs to troll, have nothing else to do, end up quitting, game is dead.
I liked this game a lot, and I'v been sticking around for the past couple of weeks hoping that the devs will make the right decision.
