Mini-update: OCD

Postby loftar » Fri Feb 22, 2013 7:46 pm

Along with the field plowing bugfix, I also pushed a little change for all you OCDers. When carrying an object, you can right-click that object where it is over your head, and you'll get a building-placement copy of the object that you can rotate and place as usual. As normal, right-click to cancel, and left-click to put the object down that exact way. Objects will also normally be put down facing towards you rather than away from you, if you don't use the placement UI.

It required a slight protocol change, however, so update your clients.

Enjoy!

Omigod ... We needed this a lot! In particular placing chests, looms & sleds is a major PITA.

or ... should I say WAS
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Not a big issue, but - you can't place fields near pavement corners.
Edit: Described a bit here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4481 (look pics)
Edit: No, wait it's not the pavement corners. But It's near pavement where this strange thing happens.
