im not liking the plant fiber thing, makes me have to learn agriculture just so i can tan rabbit hides, a way that us noobs make some simple items

Such a skill with some research into the game before you play can be gained within several hours from a fresh new character on a new server.

I really do not see a problem here.

Or you use milkweed fibers, as mentioned several times already. :)

(It even says in the tooltip for the input when you check the recipe.)

ok this may be a stupid question but I cannot for the love of me figure out any connection between plant fibers and and tanning hides (rabbit or any other).

Could be he meant drying hides. Building drying frames now require 2 fibers along with branches.
Would be nice if we could pot milkweed roots to grow our own.

Mh, was the chance of getting wild oats from crops raised or i've been especially lucky in these days? I mean, i've been having something like a 50% chance to get'em.

Also it looks like it should be "fiber" instead of "fibre"
