Game Development: Criminally Thanksgiving

Postby jorb » Thu Nov 22, 2012 6:37 am

We've been developing, and here's what's new.

Thanksgiving fun!
New offers in the store (in a few hours when the kids at Paradox wake up) and a complimentary special something from our native friends of the Five Nations, delivered to a Post Office near you!

Saving you from yourselves
Declaiming now asks for confirmation, you fat-fingered, trigger happy nabbly-boos.
Opened store packs now have alternate inventory icons, trolls.
Main GUI town button is now grayed out if you're not a member of a town. One less thing to be confused by! [joke about the large number of things that are still left to be confused by]

Crime & Civilization
New and updated "Crime!" debuff. You now need to walk it off. Walk away from the site of your last crime to reduce the time the debuff lasts. This may very well be much too harsh on y'all raiders, and if it is I would like to know about it.
It should now be possible to regenerate enough humours to offset the effects of low civilization even with a "Crime!" debuff or while in combat, provided that your Humours are high enough, of course.

New Wall Type.
Fangorn burns tonight. Build me a Plank Fence worthy of Mordor.

Hootenanny-choo-choo!
Stone Axe moved from Coltrade to Srv
Taste of NW has 400 L&L + 500 S&E
Seaweed masque has T&N
Smooth Stone H&N + S&E
Devil's Wort has L&L + F&W
Woodknot & Gameboard better
Lean Rabbit better
Rock Maraca has more S&E
Most inventories should now present proper names
Stuffed Turkeys now baked in stoves
Stove no longer has a strange specular material set
Stove now burns for a full RL 24hrs.
Stuffed Turkeys now need to be cooked for a full 12hrs.

Happy Thanksgiving!

(update clients, pl0x)

Not sure what I think about new wall mats, guess I will wait on other people to figure out if the cost in time and effort makes it worth how many more layers of stone walls you could throw up with the same investment.

You can, by the way, consider these a gift from our publisher friends at Paradox. Had it been me, you would never have gotten such nice things. ¦]

Does the crime debuff reguire you to walk away from the claim or can you walk in circles like a turkey with its head cut off?

It doesn't care about the distance you walk, but about the distance you are from the site of the last crime.
