Too late, I'm now firmly fixated on footprints for the day.

I think crawling would leave more evidence not less

I'm currently pondering a simple 'sneak' walk.

This is the logical next step with these and they were implemented in a flexible way so that if something strikes my fancy we can indeed go that direction. But how would that look. Prof check from viewer against prof check from leaver? Additional skills you can learn to make tracks more or less visible? New ability you can press to 'cover your tracks' which will wipe yours from a map screen? I've had a handful of ideas but none I was quite settled on to implement. I wanted to just throw it out there and see how it plays out in practice.
.

Remember to click and unclick tracking will just be a new feature in kandrims. It turns into another chore. Town has a significant decrease in fps depending on activity.

Make it like havens tracking. Its a check of perc vs stealth. Minor crimes should also work like that. Stealth skill is from cloak and dagger vs hunting and hide working add law in lore for tracking crimes. Now you don't have as many "worthless" combat chars running around.

Make a skill that you will leave less tracks more often. Another that lessens the chance more.

Make a broom item that will clean up paved roads or paved roads won't leave tracks.

For the sake of the server and for everything that looks good,
please turn them off at least in central provi/concord town areas.

Such a crap to look at. -.-

Ability for footprints to show same color as the person is in your buddy list? Black is default if you don't know or haven't set anything?

But. How do you know if your kin is wearing reeboks or tims that day?

Just have them "describe" their wardrobe to you, add in how fat they've gotten and you should be golden...
