Salem V1.1.6 The Crows Are Coming! The Crows Are Coming!

Postby JohnCarver » Mon Dec 28, 2015 9:41 am

Greetings Salemites,
Due to popular demand.... Or in reality, constant messages and harassment from Heffernan I decided to drop our Harvest Pack. The harvest pack is our first attempt at dropping a 'seasonal' item to the store. Its a bit late, but its not spring yet so there is still time. Better late than never. The general idea is that seasonal packs may or may not come back each RL Season but we won't be leaving them on the store all year round, or forever.

New Store Item: Harvest Pack
-----------------------------------------------------------
Harvest Pack has one Scarecrow, who will indeed scare away crows. Placing one will show you the size, but it is equivalent to a torch post of coverage.
A green Man's Mask
A cornucopia which provides a healthy amount of regeneration and uses while having a surprise at the end of it.
a Stuffed Turkey
Wrapped all up in Baby Pumpkins.

I think it would be generally fun if lots of people have an opportunity to get seasonal packs so I decided to price them at only $5.00.

New Stock Bin
-----------------------------------------------------------
*Players may now stockpile dross in quantities of 1,000.

Crows
----------------------------------------------------------
*In the next 24-48 hours Crows will begin spawning on the map. Crows are largely cosmetic creatures when found in the wild and the first player who is able to capture one in their inventory gets a bughat ¦] . However, Crows will accompany new technology that will let us choose to spawn animals on claims. Should a crow walking around inside your base manage to get to your fields and stay there pecking them for too long he will ruin them by dramatically increasing the upkeep for the next plant cycle. Crows can be shoo'd away by either running at them and scaring them away, or by a scarecrow. We may also let you build a stick with a shiny object on it at a later time to provide a similar effect to scarecrows but with a lesser distance, however, Marp has vetoed this idea and is currently having sweet sweet dreams at the idea of Salemites all chasing crows out of their base.

Beauty & The Balance
-----------------------------------------------------------
*New Psychoatic Episode. Players will now sometimes create questionably effective nails.
*Royal Jelly buffed slightly
*Players now passively gain 10 Flora & Fauna for each piece of honey drained from a skep.
*Les Fleurs du Mal now gives 5 uses and requires 2 more bones and a piece of beeswax. Values have been tweaked.

Plague chest now requires Boobytraps & Folk Medicine.
*Fix'd a typo in Feline Pajama pants in the craft window.

Popham
------------------
*Playing with baby animals is now significantly more effective. However, the amount the Temperment lowers of the animal is still a factor by his genetic ornery levels (red Bar). As such with a high red bar the increase will be less noticeable
*A Player must be signficantly closer to the event of a baby animal dying to gain insanity.
*The amount of insanity gained when witnessing a baby animal dying has been lowered.

Mini Update #5
-------------------------------------------------
*Players may plant Trees and Bushes directly next to other trees, bushes, and structures.

Thank sweet Jesus that I did over 1000 tiles of paving clay and doubling my pots yesterday not today.
