I hope there is for the free crime from an attacker destroying precious trees. I seems like this could be a very powerful weapon with no risk in its use on both sides of a seige.

Well its also largely a less-than-lethal weapon. Which is why I didn't feel it NEEDED to be tied to scents yet.

also its not YOU who commits the crimes of tearing down Trees, its the Anvils and stuff :P

will there be a way to heal the combat cripple the objects give?
