Nice idea, but no. Sheep don't have any different properties at the moment depending on if they have wool or not.

This new server is just a temporary test server?

Though it's only a 'test' in that it's the first of its kind and thus experimental. We intend this to be the new way Salem is played. One permanent server of relative peace, and one contentious server that is temporary but provides awesome rewards to those who play on it.

Recently wurmonline tried something similar, it was a great success for the first map with around 3 times more active online players than regular maps, a quarter of which constantly battling over a rare spawn point in the center of the map. Similarly at the end of the map the top 10 or so players received special coupon codes they could activate on their main accounts. The second round the numbers dwindled greatly to about half. Since then they have not made another map of its kind realizing that dividing the small player base on separate gigantic maps is a bad idea, and instead have simply added those features to existing maps, which garnered plenty of new players for that server.

IMO focus on providence, the map is more than big enough to have a PVP zone/no-mans-land/popham within it.

If you knew how mechanics worked then you would know better.

You already harvest hay fast, why is this good?

It will certainly get a buff. Especially with the Animal Husbandry patch. For now though, it felt reasonable to have a single tool in there that was a bit below the rest as it makes the others that much better.

Are we there yet?
