This definitely happens in real life, especially if said person is an alien.

Indeed. But we anticipate beds to lower insanity, not madness.

Rowing a boat could decrease insanity, you know, serene waters etc...

Planting things should decrease insanity (promoting life, nature). flowers>trees>shrubs>veggies>crops

Releasing wild turkeys should no longer kill them after a while, they should regain health and get back to 100% soon. I always feel guilty when looking for fertile turkeys. I pretend they don't die. If you like the idea, killing them would increase insanity, whereas releasing them to the wild could decrease it.

Cave ins should increase insanity a little (claustrophobia). Bats, too, since they cause me to go insane irl.

Also, add beds into salem.
Beds are now claimable (Tier 2 Leanto)

Logging off why in a bed shows the player in the bed and passivly decreases insanity over time.
Players who are logged off but who are in a bed are still able to be placed in the stocks. (Its a visual effect only)
Players who AFK in a bed but do not log off (go to sleep) get increasing insanity.

Beds now act just like a leanto / claim stone, but can only be made inside houses.

The cost is very very high.
