If you destroy all your books though, the less visible the book will be until it completely vanishes from circulation at which point acquiring any copy will be insanely hard (thus increasing the price of the information).

In my opinion, alloin had the right idea on how to spread information from witches to witches, however he undertook his idea a bit too soon. He should have waited for more popular books to be released before handing out his grimoires.
