any advice on getting pottery shards?
i heard they came from the clay cooking pots... but i haven't gotten any from that either.... do you let them over cook?
leave room for them to spawn?
is it from any pottery?... like urns? gardening pots?

Put unfired clay pots into fireplace. It then has chance to either torn into fired clay pot, or pottery shard.

I actually never knew you could fire pots in a fireplace... Always assumed it was kiln and kiln only. Oh well...

Craft icon tooltip says you can put them in fireplace. But I think we need ability to just smash clay pots into shards.

What for? You can store bricks already

for several reasons there is a lot of things that use clay in clay form, you can pave with them you need them for gardeningpots, and mortar for large walls and so on.
when i dig i can make a lot of clay at the same time and decide later what i wanna do with it. hence i wanna be able to stack them.

I tend to just store my clay in my kilns - after all clay stored in a stock pile would just dry out and be wasted
