If you have a knack for making songs and don't' mind releasing the rights we certainly enjoy listening and will definitely implement pieces that have the right 'feel' to them.

Do they have to be in midi? and where do submissions go?

I was referring to him just repeating what JC said in his spoilers.

If you accept this modified statement from the start your salem career will be much more enjoyable, possibly even fun
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Well, now, since the thread is back on topic:
First of all, it was interesting to read, thank you.
1. About helping with voices
JohnCarver wrote:Voice Acting
(We are actually in interviews now for this for the tutorial. If anybody has professional experience with it, could be nice.)

Are female voices in the game intended to be the way they are now? Sorry to hurt anyones feelings if so, but now studying sounds like a creepy old lady and lifting is something from tentacle porn. There seems to be a very high percentage of female players in Salem and I am sure there are plenty of girls and women ready to help with their own records, if you'll say a few words about size, format and quality.
2. About witchcraft and unknown mechanics
I really like where all of this is going and I love that some mechanics are kept in secret. I always hated that some people worked hard to explore game mechanics and then one of them just revealed all the outcome of their experiments to the public to gain a short lasting appreciation or because he didn't think through long term consequences and thought he's helping the game (I'm obviously not talking about wiki, tutorials and basic guides now, this is about deeper mechanics concerning mostly big players). But.
But now it feels like the game is forcing you to become a witch, because there is so many fun things for them happening. I decided to play as an honest christian before witchcraft was implemented and I still hold on to this, but new mechanics over and over again make me consider building another base in darkness and making a few witch-alts, because with each patch witches are getting everything other players do + many more fun and dangerous things on top of that. There are no exclusive secrets on the bright side, same goes for special events and animals (yes ofcourse you can still hunt in the darkness, but witches don't have to pay 150s to go to Providence and aren't immideatly attacked by rabbits, are they?), which makes me feel like I'm missing very interesting and important part of the game, which makes choosing this side discouraging. Despite all the dangers and inconveniences witches are facing, choice between having a witch character or not is too obvious now and I really hope this is going to change. And I really want honest christians to have their own secrets
inaccessible for those, who preferred witchcraft, maybe something like ability to become magistrates with their own procedures for detecting a witch or curse. I do understand that this game is not ready yet and there will be witch hunt in one form or another, but my point was mostly about hidden knowledge for both parties, not only witches.

There was something else I wanted to say, but I forgot, maybe I'll reread later to fox this.

If you are into large amounts of mysterious mechanics to discover and uncover then you indeed chose the wrong 'side' and should make a witch. We have no intentions of trying to 'balance' the two sides from the perspective of hidden mechanics. I suggest you abandon your honest pilgrim and begin your journey down witch-craft if that indeed sounds more like your play style.

if you knew about that, it wouldn't be secret, now would it.
We're not currently accepting novices, sorry.
