event is already half borked, people staying there trying to steal materials out of it before people can build them in, and someone tried to tear the building down and got ported way :s

I hope people stealing items are getting their hands cut off. I also hope that helping counts by putting item in, not building it, because there is plenty of parasites. Looking at you, donkey hat.

Well, one material can't just be instantly built in after a starting tick of building. Thus it's possible to steal each material.
I suggest building-in the expensive materials when the hype will be over. Many have lost their stuff already.
