Thanksgiving Festivities

Postby JohnCarver » Wed Nov 26, 2014 8:23 am

Greetings Salemites,
We have three things planned for you this Thanksgiving.

#1: The Seasonal Stall has been updated. His Majesty is now buying things he needs for his Thanksgiving Meal. He is also willing to sell you a gift. I attempted to explain to him that it is not a gift if you charge players for it. But he insisted otherwise.

#2: There are new Thanksgiving Tables available in town. They are larger than a feasting table. For every 2 hours that Salemites do not touch them there may be a chance of a golden goose spawning in them.

#3: The Natives have sent a Gift to the Pilgrims for Thanksgiving. Players may redeem it at the Postmaster.

this is pretty cool!
is the timer per table, or all of the tables?

The timer is per table, however, players that are simply 'locked' on tables will disable the chance that a golden goose will appear in them. Only tables that have been 'empty' for long periods of time have chances of spawning nice things.

Is that snow or texture bug?.. If it is snow... maybe add some dirt from our boots to it and make it little bit more to the grey?.. = )

It is the 'snow' that you see high up on mountains. Didn't look quite as pretty as I imagined. May have to adjust the textures a bit.

Does anyone actually believe that someone will get golden geese out of those tables?

Indeed, it does look like Salem proves once again why they cannot have nice things.

That would be quite impossible, indeed, but they don't only stop things from spawning, they also don't let everyone else to use the tables. Being an ******* on Thanksgiving should leave a summonable scent.
