It will 'ask' for new weekly rent of 350 each week. If you sell more stuff DURING that week it will stop asking.

Thanks. Just to be 100% sure. So if I ignore what the stall "wants" and leave it until its weekly timer (?) has run out, will it then take whatever balance is left to pay from the funds left in the stall ?

Around 15k. If you are lucky and find a stall that has lost ownership you might be able to buy it for a mere 1k.

If you can buy a stall whose rent has run out, you're looking at 20k for the top-dog stalls (the one closest to the seasonal stall) down to 1 or 2 thousand for those at the far back. The stalls that have been auctioned will have the costs set at their respective auction, and so that's less easy to predict.

My understanding of stall rent must be off. I thought if there was sufficient tax money outstanding clicking deposit rent just deducted from the tax revenues? However that was not the case yesterday - when it deducted from my purse. Should I never click deposit rent if there is money in my stall? At what point will rent auto deposit from tax revenue? Can I ever manually force the rent to deposit from tax revenue?

you can't: you can't access tax revenue.
If your rent is paid by tax revenue, it will say so (something along the lines of "rent has been paid") - same as paying it from your purse.

If your tax revenue hasn't (completely) paid for upkeep, you will pay it from your purse by clickign the button. In full.

TLDR: never pay upkeep on your stall if there is sufficient silver in till.
