yeah, not liking where this is going.
Luckily I have a lot of pockets so I can keep a few tools and me and still be able to port - but now I find myself switching tools way more than the (sword/axe)-pickaxe-shovel that it used to be.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

It could be reduced by adding a slot for an appropriate tool to crafting stations like baking tables or sawbucks.

Also, tool belts letting you use tools directly from them rather than having to equip it into the hand slots.

I certainly understand that the developers want the money, but that money could be obtained in another way such as a small monthly fee from each player. Now we get that the one who pays the wins. When you start selling swords with double damage for just $ 9.99 and resurrection potion for $ 49.99?

There's a difference between Pay to Do Stuff Faster and Pay to Win.

you should be using worker alts for this stuff anyways - these updates just reinforce that.

While I make 40 boards with a stone saw, someone will make 80 boards with a hand saw. So he would build fence two times faster than me. Someone with a rolling pin and hunting knives will produce twice as much food for the same time etc.

By the way, could you possibly implement some sort of blade-swapping mechanic for the fancy swords as well? A bit like the new butchering dagger. As people have mentioned, nobleman's rapiers are pretty useless now that swords have purity.

Also yeah, Rolling pin and Hand saw, none of that pitchforky nonsense! And I'm happy with the butchering knife for now :D
