Haven and Salem have both been DDoS'd in recent history. To say that they don't happen is simply wrong. In Haven there was a huge huff when users were punished for DDoS'ing the servers to prevent other people from attacking them. Apparently some people think it's perfectly fine to crash the game server or lag it severely in order stop a siege.
I'm not sure anyone can, with any legitimacy, complain against the ability to ignore users in-game. Without a doubt these actions are within the best interest of the game and every one of its users.
Perhaps I'm rather draconian but I'm of the opinion that a simple ban is not enough for users who go too far with their game abuse. I don't mean abusing a bug, I mean, as this post started out, crashing the game server, hacking other character's accounts, etc.. To prevent any profit from these actions the user, their related accounts, and their property should be burned and salted even if they are living with or housing innocent players. This act would make users question whether or not they should ever bunker up with an abusive player.
