RIP drama missed because of no logout and port timers :cry:

It makes it too easy for noob players to be killed. There's no other defense for new players than to log or port. They'd die in droves if they didn't even have that. If they're even using the standard client they don't even have the other players on their radar which makes it even harder to survive against people chasing them.

Are you aware of something called Trial By Combat?

I think its a good idea, it stops raiders from alt porting all their stolen stuff to boston. To solve the combat logging problem I think we should just make it so you can only log off at either your leanto or your homestead. There would obviously be a message saying "you cant log off away from your home". If you close the game outside of there your character stays logged in ¦]. Kinda like how you can't log off while over burdened.

That way both raiders and non-raiders both get nerfed in a way that its fair for both and removes the silly flaws in the system that both parties exploit to make the game retarded.

To prevent complete noobs from all getting slaughtered, maybe there should be a dishonor/shame debuff for killing players drastically weaker than you.

I dont care much for that myself, but I know many other people do, because of various reasons.

But I do remember JC say that he did not like alts, at all.
Now, this demands much more alts for everyone, gg JC! :D :D :D

I considered not allowing players to log off unless they are at their leantos but it really messes with those who like to explore.

This reminds me of when people ran around pretending there were going to be an abundance of feather alts, and autumn grass alts etc. etc. because of the low carry weight. The reality is that next to nobody does this and everybody who ran around saying the sky was falling because of it did nothing but prove themselves a fool.

Exploring, that was my first thought there, too. I am really excited to see what you will come up with regarding that.

And for the alts, it is not hard for anyone to make alts that can carry almost as much as their mains, if you have all the necessary infrastructure, you can mass produce alts that have all the carry skills (which make up a lot of the carry capacity) and even more through at least medium (yellow) biles.

That does effectively mean, people who use alts for things like transporting lime to their base, now need to invest more in their alts, and well possibly use more of them.
I wonder if we will see raiders with endless alt trains traveling to their target... ^^
