well seems like a bunch of nice updates by the look of them atleast, i guess well see how it works out. :)

this part however i dont like
Metal Chests have had their material costs increased significantly. They are now smaller in what they can hold and liftable when full. They also take significantly more time to destroy and will not decay when left off claim.

i actually was not happy when they made the normal chests liftable with things inside but i was fine with it with the knowlage that the metal chest still used that mechanic atleast. It is a first defence to keep you most percious things somewhat safe from the riff raff theifs, you basically need a really hight stat char to get the stuff inside since you need to brake it in place, with any defence system present.

ye perhaps right now, it has been overpowered because of the overpowered defence system on the claims, but i bet you are planning on changing that part and when you do this new chest mechanic will make the metal chests useless and not worth making over a normal chest. you made it "take significantly more time to destroy" well that wont help in anyway since people will just lift it off the claim just like they do with normal chests and brake them far away from the claim or even bring them home in a sled. so why would i spend more ingredients on a chest that is just as easy to steal as a normal chest, and with less space aswell :/.

i dont see how this chest change was needed at all, personally i hate it. it was fine as it was. No big issue if they are more expensive to make though, they should be expensive to make.

The issue with Metal chests NOT being liftable would be that players would use them as walls or defenses. These are meant to be portable safes. We will be implementing the mechanic that you want, a difficult to break impossible to move container. But that one will only be build able in a house so that it is less exploited.

Im sorry if I missed this information when reading about the patch. when you fill multiple proficienc y bars, you used to get +2 to the chosen and +1 to the rest. I just filled multiple, chose perennial philosophy and got only +1 to that and none to others?
intentional?

but the normal chests are portable as it is are they not? i really thaught those where used for that purpuse. i do understand the difficulty with exploits, hmm but since they are not unbrakable if you keep the difficulty as it was before you changed it, they will never be an effective wall, especially after you change the defence system mechanics.

ohh well it might work ok the way you say but,

im also thinking a bit about the early game when you might only have a smaller claim and no house yet, wile you are still digging and trying to get your infra strukture up perhaps you have a mine where you might keep some stuff and so on. the metal chest has really been valuble early on.

yes that is the way PerP works. It has worked that way for quite some time.

No problem. This is simply a reminder we need a tooltip to better inform the public about this interaction.
