Gotta love that Jwhitehorn dev'd scalping, insta-200 stat combat alts, and being able to get back up to 1000 humours into the game in his first patch.

How do I do this? All i saw is that Glutton timers are taken away from with putting in work with crafting potions. How are things different with getting high humors that were not achievable before? I would love an example!

by taking away gluttony timers with potions and berrymash and by having high SnS it sounds like basically the old system but without purity food.

Well, what gave Legacy Titans was pre-famine foods, remember how pure crops were super easy to get before a certain patch? JC has been saying he was getting rid of timers, remember the road-map? Professions will be next Claeyt. Sorry if you thought the Full and Fed timer was good for balance. Many disagree.

Our main problem with the F&F timer was and remains that without a way to overcome it, a deceased character was give a very real and undesirable amount of "real life time" before they could ever return to where they were before they died. We believe that if nothing else this made the psychological damage of losing a character far too great. Players who actually play the game and have characters higher than 20 humors (Claeyt does not) should find that the SS buff and potions help a player to get on his feet way more than a veteran to widen the power gap.

I didn't like it but it did 2 things that made the game playable for people who were new.

1. It kept no-lifers from feeding guys up to 1000 humours. It was basically impossible to get that high with the timers. We already have guys over 200 in the 4 months since the wipe but it took them a very, very long time to do it. Getting to 500 was a stretch with the timers and probably impossible with the foods we had but it would have taken them at least a year. A 500 stat guy will go through a stone or plank fence like butter and can kill a brazier in very few hits. There's basically no protection and it's why Plymouth was down to single digit player base at the end. Nobody could catch them and nothing could stop them. The same thing will happen now if they allow people to get to that level again with no way to stop them if you're smaller or newer.

2. The timers stopped JohnCarver's/The Chief's Tribe from building a 100-200 stat combat alt in a few days like on Plymouth. Without limits on time, and space to feed they could just keep filling a shed full of food until a new character was 200 stats. Without a timer, then only the gluttony system for food that makes it less effective and the point system for inspi points stands in their way from doing the 200 stat combat alt again.

We'll see, maybe it's a happy medium but I bet we see a 500 stat unkillable player by the end of September.
