How many alt.s have you leveled to 50, 100, or 150, and made? The smart person tends to make more than 5. Now consider how many people have made it with the current system for determined things. Why should everyone suffer do to some people's lack of knowledge of how to get past 100 without legacy items?

I say let the stupid fools be beat with the Great Book of Knowledge to near death. Should we include you on that list?

my impression was that those who want to stay can play on in the current server(s) with the old system while those who want to play the new features move on to the new server, making new chars and re-start from the scratch again.
i can be wrong, but i thought it was the original intention of "multi-server" that had put us wait for so long before any other updates back then.

Whoa there, comrade.

It is cheesy.

Though it is nice to be able to obtain a some-what larger inventory early on now.

Oh god, that people actually still bring this up.

Do you think they're the only ones that started on the server? Do you think they started on a fresh server two months before everyone else? They started with a TON of new players (many more than the current player count) fresh on a server, and they're what's left of that large number. They're the people that beat down all competition (and competition there was, definitely in the beginning). And then there's some people (like me :) ) that just stick around for the community. Right now, it's already been proven that new startees can at least threaten them under the current system without any legacy humus. A 250-300 bile character IS able to challenge 400-bile ones if the controller has decent fighting skills and slots, and those biles are very possible to attain under the current system.

Ah, and:

PLEASE, for the love of jorbtar, just quote short posts. I'll be the first to argue that long posts should be spoilered when quoted, but scissoring one-sentence posts just means you lost everyone that doesn't dog every single thread 24/7 just to understand your replies. It doesn't make you "cool", "efficient" or "interesting", it's just plain annoying.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Hear, hear. I've been wanting to say this for weeks.

Oh, and I really like the idea of barkpacks. Although drying the bark implies having a drying frame, and a secure place. Does this mean we are going to get new types of trees? Birch at least. Maybe fruit trees? yipee.
