You would think so, wouldn't you. Well you be dead wrong, the 500 stat guy would mop the floor with the 3 100 stat guys, as long as he or she had any skill whatsoever in PVP action. I'd say it would take upwards of 7-8 100 stat characters to take on a 500 pound gorilla, and even then many of them would die.

As to Darworth's diligence and hard work. Yes, he's put in the time, what Potjeh and I have been arguing throughout this thread is that someone starting today who put in the exact same time and diligence as Darworth would not reach his same character level with this update in place. Thus, the current high level characters are too high. The dev's have been trying to slow them down all winter with reactionary updates, and this update is another one.

The ability to raise purity should have been removed a long time ago around when map nodes where also removed, until the devs re able to implement a more complete purity system. Nearly everything in the game stems from purity/alchemy or has the ability to give others a clear advantage whether it be in biles or proficiencies.

I strongly doubt the devs read this. And if they do, they wont change their plans based on it. ;)

two guys with 150ish to their stats working together who know the combat system (unlike potjeh) instead of spamming thrusts can take out a 500 stat character easily.

in fact once the purity changes settle down i will probably use the remaining stocks of my high purity food to help create a few 150 - 200 stat characters instead of trying to further increase the stats any "superman" characters i may have.

I just planted my first succesfully sprouted trees since the update.
I sure hope the failed sprout's dead branches' purity aren't an indication of the succesful trees' purity, because then it's bugged. The dead branch comes out 25/25/25/25, using 3% pot, 9% water and 80% humus
Did Claeyt shut up yet?

So... setting up camp near a low quality quarry could, in theory, mean that no one will contest you for it?
I've seen evidence of at least 3 visits to a quarry and no destruction to the camp there. :)

Too lazy to actually find the post 4 pages ago to quote it, but @Darwoth : Demanding a permanent reward for any amount of past effort and smart gameplay is like winning the olympics once and then demanding they just give you the gold from then on out. I'm sure you put both effort and thought into the game and that got you where you are now, but I think the game should have some amount of "drag" to slow down anyone's momentum ingame, to keep them active. By your own claim you think effort and smart gameplay are the things that should be rewarded, so when someone reaches 100% seeds and humus of the same element, where is the effort and intelligence that goes into their character's improvement? Logging in once every day or two when you know your crops expire and replanting only to get yet another batch of 100% food requires neither smarts nor that much effort.

Edit: P.S. And shame on you all for breaking the HnH server with your mass exodus!! xD
