I still log on once in a while but its more out of a curiosity wether someone razed my hermit settlement or not and saying hi to my neighbour who i enjoy chatting with.
At this point, I feel the same way. The game has taken on a way more complicated "Farmville" feel. Plant crop, load with hay, wait x amount of time, harvest crop, and start over. Other than logging in to see if someone got bored and destroyed my claim, I wait until crops are done, then plant again for the tier grind. I also check to make sure worms have food. Basically a waiting game over anything constructive to do. Wait for crops, wait for worms, wait for trees to grow, wait for humus to produce, eat up said grown food, and wait for crops again etc...
Don't get me wrong, there have been some good updates. Mushroom eating was way too over powered. Pras on the mushrooms. The food tier was a good update also. I always believed that the crops of higher tiers should've given better stats. I don't agree with tier and elemental purity combination though. I'm not much of a worm babysitter. In my honest opinion, you guys are on the right track with tier foods, the elemental value just sends it over the top. So much that the few new players are like what????? Makes sense that level 1 and level 1 gives bad results. Level 1 and level 2 should give a little better result. Level 2 and level 2 even better result. Level 3 and level 2 a bit better result. And ultimately a level 3 and level 3 should give maximum result. At least in the food aspect. But take it a step further with clothing. Level 1 cotton to make a shirt gives nothing. Level 2 cotton (egyptian or indian) makes a shirt, but gives some sort of boost (digging, chopping, or even a multiplier to a skill like +1 to C&D). Then the shirt made with Sea Island cotton gives even a better boost of some sorts.
Anyway that's my 2 cents.
