And what will happen with existing mines?

Don't forget whole towns have been build in a certain place because of the location! (Which likely includes a mine!)
Effectively removing the mine, makes a location useless.

[edit:]
And what about copper-ore/mines?
Will they become more useful?

[edit2:]
Concerning existing mines in general, I have no clue of what you are going to do with them...
- Resetting all existing mines might be harsh, but everyone gets a fresh start, so that would be ok i guess, just inform people ahead of time so they don't lose all they have stored in their "basement"!
- Restricting any meaningful purity to mines opened after the patch, would be... unfortunate, pretty much as bad as removing old mines right away (which would not be necessary ofc in any case).

Every time somebody asks me about mines before I have information to tell you, I'm going to push the patch back 3 days. ¦]

When I know, you will know.

And I do not care if your town was perfectly built or centered around a mine. There are a dozen more mines within a 5 minute walk and you're in a beta.

you're

How could I not? That probably cost us another 3 days though, I figure. More days for using that pure meat!
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Plenty of mines in the world to go around is what I'm sayin'.

will you tell us about mines?
will you tell us about mines?
will you tell us about mines?
will you tell us about mines?
That pushes it back to February right?

No one think we are going to run out of mines, some people just don't want to build a new mining set up.

Your mine must be in the center of your base.

The "it's beta" tag is pretty cheap excuse, this game is in beta for how long? ...and will stay in beta for how much longer?

Also, don't make those promises, someone might want to delay the patch forever by asking for that info! ¦]

Having a mine in 5 minutes walking distance is not the same as having it within you walls, it's a spacy basement after all.
Making old mines invalid, or removing them outright, would upset a lot of people, oh wait, that was your intention all along, sorry, I didn't say anything...

I'm pretty sure we'll be able to 'reset' current mines eventually. Relax !

This game has been in beta since June and will continue to be for several more months.
