Oh, that's just the term we have come to use. If you ask me how that came to be, I'll admit I'm not sure. :)

If I were to speculate, I'd say it's either because the map is subdivided into smaller loadable units, or because the Haven map-generator needed to run multiple times to produce multiple supergrids (though that's not the case for Salem).

As a status report, the maps appear to be almost done, but not quite. I expect them to require another couple of hours of baking.
