To be more precise: using purity nails does not help. Nails are factored in for bin purity, but since they do not have purity yet, they are always factored in as 25/25/25/25
Approving it. Experiment gave me the same result with both pure (from pure metal) and unpure nails.
How did you verify that? I'm not aware of anyway to get the purity stats of a bin directly. In the patch notes at the time, Jorb stated more or less that nails did contribute to purity even though they do not currently display their purity. Just as bins contribute to purity even though they do not display their purity either. And pots. And so on. Testing would seem to require a great deal more effort than I'm putting into the game these days, however.
Re: Kaillslater
Everyone participating in this discussion I'm pretty sure is aware of the purity mechanics. We just don't spend a lot of effort typing extra words about it. So 26-70% purity worms talks about their %age purity, implying their elemental purity would be somewhat higher. And when we talk about bins, worms, etc. in conjunction, with such and such purity, we mean purity with the same primary element. Now it is true that you can get significant swings with wonky secondary elemental mismatches, but presumably from how his reply was phrased Toorimakun did not base his statement on one combination of worms/bin.
Nice worms, btw. If you were on Roanoke, CG might want to come for a visit

. They like the wriggly things.
