Mini Update #2
*Fix'd a bug that was causing additional Limed Hides to be accumulated.
*Studying Items now reduces a fair bit of insanity. (As a metric, a player who studies an item once every 4-8 minutes of playtime would never gain a madness level).
*Finding a gem while sifting reduces a bit of insanity.
*Cooking things over the gentle crackling of a fire now lowers a bit of insanity.
*Dissecting a frog now adds a small bit of insanity.
*Players no longer gain insanity from KOing. I liked this mechanic but it was too harsh coupled with the ways players can catch themselves in a KO loop. For the record it was 36 KO's that would permakill you from 0 Madness and 0 Insanity.
*The Masks should now update your madness level between logouts. The gluttony forks are still busted but will be fixed hopefully later today.

Being KO should increase your insanity level! I feel the insanity system is too soft.

Well sure, all players are in a passive state of gaining insanity. Doing certain things make this faster, doing other things roll it back. "Neutral' is just the term I use for the "AFK" gain-rate.

is not clear to people. Also, getting comments like "have you read the notes" etc is not what I appreciate from the part of the people working on the game. It only shows lack of respect and, I am sorry, but I do not find it acceptable.

Consider this your warning that I intend to add new ways to kill you from now until the end of my reign here.

You can kill me if you find me online, but I don't think so :D

Heheh back at you i guess. Insanity mechanic aint going to impact you unless you PVP or hunt in the darkness. Other than that, you won't even need to care for insanity, unless you pull the tail off 100 salamander at once... In that case you deserve to go insane.

Aw, couldn't the KO insanity penalty just been nerfed instead of removed entirely? D:

Heffernan wrote:has still not understand that most players play longer then 5minutes a day....

But have you understood that it takes several hours to gain a madness level from AFK alone? I'm sure there must be SOMETHING you do in your daily Salem routine that contribute to loss of insanity? I for example pick milkweeds to keep my phlegm up while I wander about, this will now also keep my insanity in check as well apparently. x3
